Georeferencing Gets a Makeover

30.05.25

After expanding georeferencing to cover images without spatial metadata (as featured in April’s newsletter), GeoClerk is back with more upgrades to the tool – this time with a sleek, refreshed interface designed to make it faster, smarter, and even easier to manage.

Start by zooming straight to the correct map location if spatial metadata is present. If not, just type the name of a deposit, project, or area, pick from the dropdown, and GeoClerk will drop you right where you need to be. Choose your preferred georeferencing mode – drag/scale, control point, or freehand – and get to work. Three flexible tools, one purpose: streamline your workflow and save valuable time.

The new interface now also lets you name your georeferenced images and save them into project folders, just as many users requested, making it a breeze to revisit and organise work or collaborate with colleagues. Now, not only is finding information easier than ever, but showing exactly where it came from (and sharing it with others) is just as effortless.
