After some user requests, Lucene Query Language (LQL) searching has been enabled on both Image and Text search.. We have always aimed to keep GeoClerk intuitive and beginner-friendly, but for those who love diving into the deep end with fuzzy searches, proximity matching, term grouping, etc., this one’s for you. Just click a button to activate it. Fair warning: it’s not for every user as it has different behaviour to a regular GeoClerk search – like no search expansions. Still, if you’re wrestling with handwritten or tough-to-read documents, LQL might just be your secret weapon. π₯·
In the video below is an example where searching for misspellings of bornite pulls out previously unfound images in documents from WAMEX. In this case weβve removed the correctly spelled results to highlight the new finds.
